Map of 35th Division Movement During the Meuse-Argonne Offensive

French map titled "Very." The map, numbered 211 in a series, shows the location of the 140th Infantry from September 26 to September 27, 1918 and the 138th Infantry on September 26, 1918. Overprinting shows the location of lodging huts for troops, trench lines, and battery positions. Pencil notes on the back read: "C.O. 140th Inf." and "Very-1/10,000."

French map titled "Munster." Stamped at the top of the map in red is "Secret No. 168." The map is annotated to show trench lines, fields of fire, and allied and enemy positions. A handwritten note on the back of the map reads: "Operation map used in Vosges Mountains by 140th Infantry, July to September 1918." Another note on the back reads: "166.7.8 Sec Mun 1-20." An attached typewritten page describes some of the markings found on the map.
