The President spoke at noon at the shipyard of the Electric Boat Division, General Dynamics Corporation, Groton, Connecticut. His opening words referred to Gordon E. Dean, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, Governor John Davis Lodge of Connecticut, and Dan A. Kimball, Secretary of the Navy. In the course of his remarks he referred to Senator Brien McMahon, Chairman of the Joint Congressional Committee on Atomic Energy, and Senator William Benton, both of Connecticut. In two parts.
