Photographed in his barbershop, Spina is wearing a typical white smock and holding scissors and comb. The photo was taken during an interview by noted writer Merle Miller for the Truman television adaptation of Miller's book, "Plain Speaking," which appeared on the Public Broadcasting System in 1976.
