Said had good meeting with Defense Chiefs yesterday and believes that the Defense appropriations will work out satisfactorily.
Asked Gen Fleming to describe process for obtaining water from salt water. Ward Canaday at St. Croix wants to experiment with the process.

Said he would contact Canaday. The system is being tried in St. John, V. I.
TREASURY
Papers today indicate that govt credit restraint program is being reversed. That is not correct. There is no reversal.
