Also questioned reference to small business. It is true that the number of small business has actually increased in the past few years.

The Aiken bill which becomes effective in Jan 1950 does not meet the situation and must be rewritten.

Questioned Page (9) "Unjustified Wage adjustments," but was satisfied its limiting qualification was necessary.
SAWYER
Asked for deletion of reference to "steel" industry. Forrestal, Snyder, Lovett supported.

Agreed to revision of language.

Got change in language to say "placed in it" rather than "restored" which referred to strengthening of Labor Dept.

Got revision in "opportunity to go to school" to read "facilities do not exist."

Got change from democracy to free governments and free peoples.
