ACHESON
Have adopted firm attitude on Communist regime in China. Our people will be treated respectfully or there is no point in recognizing them.

Post office is hitting new high peak in revenue in our history
BRANNAN
While economy is on upgrade farm economy is going into a decline. It will probably continue downward in the next year. Department is making every effort to maintain farmer purchasing power. This is pertinent to all phases of our national economy.
TOBIN
Discussed the Mexican labor situation in the Southwest and West. It has become a serious problem. Recommended appointment of commission to study situation and its effect on employment. Have similar problem in Florida with West Indian labor.
MCGRATH
Made presentation of gift to President
