Very Rev. Robt. Slavin

Books - dld by Atty Gen.
THE PRESIDENT
Asked Atty Gen to discuss coal decision in Court yesterday.
ATTY GEN
The blame lies in the Court (Keech) but reaction has been that Justice Dept has not developed all the facts. The operators have not been able to furnish any real evidence of conspiracy to be in contempt of Court. The Dept is surprised that decision was against govt. Will make an appeal on emergency basis but it is unlikely that appeals court will reverse the judge who issued the order and in turn found that his order was not violated.
STEELMAN
Lewis now feels that he is riding high. The Fact Finding Board is calling a meeting to find out just what negotiations have produced and which sides have made what concessions.
THE PRESIDENT
Plans to send down message for seizure of mines by govt.
ATTY GEN
The Atty Gen said that it is not constitutional to ask that profits be put into U. S. Treasury.
