Farm commodity price index has gone up some. Wheat and others are now at parity level. Milk is just about to reach parity level which will cause trouble as we will have to face possible consumer increase or consumer subsidies if milk goes above parity at production level.
TOBIN
Meats in some categories above parity has caused increase in price index at consumer level. Some thought might be given to meat subsidies at production levels to get prices back to parity.
WILSON
Milk producers are now having some maintenance problem in cans due to shortage of 1808 steel which is in very tight supply. This may get serious unless we can loosen up steel for milk companies.
