Stressed importance of testimony on MacArthur by Marshall, Acheson and Bradley starting today. Believes it important to stress that the administration has no idea of turning Formosa over to the enemy. Also stress that blockade of China would mean aggressive war.

Visited with 600 So East Postmasters yesterday in Savannah, Georgia. Found sentiment in that area against MacArthur.

Quarterly crop report will be out Thursday. Will show reduction in wheat supply also in corn.
Opposition will seize on this as argument against shipping grain to India. Study is being made as to extension of sugar act which expires in 1952.
