In view of maritime strike it is essential to clear thru Adm Cochrane of Maritime Board all emergency shipments.

ACHESON

Communists in France have lost several seats in yesterday's election. They voted about 3½ million which is not much decrease numerically. DeGaulle shows increase in strength.

Total 585 - 200 of these are Communists and DeGaullists, seats in Parliament.

Russia still dragging feet on question of Big 4 meeting in Paris. Iranian oil situation is still deadlocked.

Only 10% of E Bonds which came due in May have been cashed by holders which is very encouraging.
