Description

Former President Harry S. Truman (center) tossed out the first ball at the Kansas City Athletics opening baseball game at Municipal Stadium. Athletics Manager Lou Boudreau is at left, Detroit Tigers Manager Stanley "Bucky" Harris is at right. A's owner, Arnold Johnson, is standing behind Bucky Harris. Bess Truman is seated left behind Boudreau. Standing in the background left to right are: Stuart Wien (dark hair), Lester Milgram (leaning with glasses), and Nat Milgram (glasses and bowtie).
