Former President Harry S. Truman (center) tossed out the first ball at the Kansas City Athletics opening baseball game at Municipal Stadium. Former President Harry S. Truman opens the first baseball game of the season between the Kansas City Athletics and Detroit Tigers by throwing out the first pitch at Municipal Stadium.
