Description

View of area described as the Well of Moses where Moses was supposed to have found sweet water for his followers after crossing the Red Sea. Photograph taken as part of a trip Charles Thayer and his wife Cynthia took to Mt. Sinai and St. Catherine's Monastery in March 1961. Photos intended for possible magazine article illustration. Original negatives are in the Harry S. Truman Library collection.
