Description

After climbing up the gangplank of a Naval air rescue boat used to transport President Harry S. Truman from the Williamsburg to shore at St. Croix, Virgin Islands, unidentified officers walk past a line of sailors and are welcomed aboard. The President will be visiting Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Cuba. From: Naval Photo Center sent to the Truman Library by the National Archives. Original 4x5 negative.
