This is a photograph of the cathedral in Bern, Switzerland. Note on the back of the photograph reads: "Front of the Cathedral, showing how sandbags have been placed to protect the ancient stone carvings of 'The Last Supper' in case of bombing. Note bears around statue of knight." This was taken while E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. was working in Bern Switzerland for the Associated Press.
