President Harry S. Truman (seated, fourth from right) and Secretary of State James Byrnes (seated, third from left) are dining with a group of naval officers on board the USS Augusta. Ship's clerk Edwin L. Hoying is in the back row, right. Names of others present include (in no particular order): Falk, Thompson, Bassett, Fisher, Davis, Gilman, Flaherty, Kakos, and Welch. President Truman and Secretary Byrnes were on board the USS Augusta to travel to Germany for the Potsdam Conference.
