President Harry S. Truman receives a gift of a 42-pound tom turkey from Austin, Texas. The Poultry and Egg Board presented the turkey to President Truman on behalf of its members. In the foreground, from left to right: R. E. James, President of the National Turkey Federation; President Truman; and Secretary of Agriculture Clinton Anderson. All others are unidentified.
