Description
President Galo Plaza, Mrs. Plaza, and the first family of Ecuador enjoy the garden of Prospect House. The Prospect House, built in 1788 and designed by William Thornton, architect of the United States Capital, served as the guest house during the White House renovation when President Harry S. Truman resided at Blair House. From the Department of State Album: "Visit of His Excellency, Galo Plaza, President of Ecuador to the United States of American, June 20 to 29, 1951"
