Description

French President Vincent Auriol (center left) and Madame Michelle Auriol (far left) are the guests of honor at a dinner given by Mrs. Alice Acheson (center right) and Secretary of State Dean Acheson (far right) at Anderson House. Anderson House, the property of the Society of the Cincinnati, played an important role in official entertainment during the reconstruction of the White House. From the Department of State Album: "Visit of His Excellency, Vincent Auriol, President of the French Republic to the United States of America, March 28 to April 4, 1951"
