First Lieutenant Henry A. Commiskey, U.S. Marine Corps, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is shown with his family after receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor from President Harry S. Truman at a ceremony held at the White House lawn. The family includes daughter Cassandra being held by her father, and Mrs. Henry A. Commiskey holding son Henry A., Jr. The award was presented for bravery in Korea, September 20, 1950.
