Description
Naval pre-invasion bombardment, simulated by static demolitions, precedes the onslaught of the Marine amphibious invasion. Clouds of ominous smoke from the high explosives dissipate and conceal the "enemy" emplacements. This was taken at the Marine Corps Training School at Quantico, Virginia.
