Mr. Truman turns to speak to Missouri Governor James Blair (wearing a hat) and Kansas Governor George Docking in the row behind him. Governor Blair threw the first pitch to Governor Docking at this game, which was the season opener. Tom Evans (seated to Mr. Truman's left) and Mrs. Bess Wallace Truman (on Mr. Evans' left) also attended the game at Municipal Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
