Students will participate in a simulation of the Potsdam Conference between the United States, the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union.

Lesson Plan Using Primary Sources to Start ELA Writing Journal/Storytelling.

Have the students research the phrase, find the document where it originally appeared, discuss its origin or what the people who first used it were trying to accomplish/say.

The student will be able to analyze and determine central themes in George Orwell’s Animal Farm as these themes relate to the novel’s role as an allegory of Communism in Russia during WWII.

Students will compare and contrast the United States Bill of Rights and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Students will be involved in drawing evaluative conclusions about our U.S. role in the world today and into the future based upon the direction provide by President Harry S. Truman beginning in 1945.
