Celebration for Clark Griffith at Griffith Stadium

Baseball players and unidentified men gathered on the field of Griffith Stadium, Washington, D.C. President Harry S. Truman was in attendance for the baseball game, as well as ceremonies honoring Washington Senators owner Clark Griffith, who celebrated 50 years in baseball. President Harry S. Truman attends a formal presentation of equestrian statues, "The Art of War" and "The Art of Peace," by Italian Prime Minister Alcide de Gasperi to the Government of the United States at Memorial Bridge in Washington, D.C.
