This is an example of the classic plow of India. It scratches without actually turning the soil. The new-type plow being introduced all over India does a better job. The government of India and the Point Four Program cooperated in the community development program to help improve agriculture, health, and education in India.

Near the village of Mayan, Iran, unidentified villagers are harvesting building materials from an ancient caravan station to construct a standpipe for a well. The shallow well was constructed with the assistance of the Point Four program and the Technical Cooperation Administration so that villagers would have a better source of clean water.

A county agricultural agent near Puno, Peru shows farmers how to inoculate alpacas for the control of internal parasites as part of a program sponsored by the Point Four Program. All are unidentified.
