An unknown officer and sailor paint "Thank God our prayers have finally been..." on the side of the large guns aboard the USS Manchester as they wait for the arrival of the USS Los Angeles to relieve them from their ten month tour in Korea.

View from the USS Los Angeles as the USS Manchester approaches. Crew members from both ships were alongside their decks to greet each other. The USS Manchester was traveling at full speed, as shown by the wake, as it was leaving Communist Korea after ten months at sea. The Los Angeles was the Manchester's relief.
