Description
Former President Harry S. Truman (left, just in front of flag) is seated with his family at the ground breaking ceremony for the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library in Independence, Missouri. Margaret can be seen to the right of him, and his sister Mary Jane is to the right of her. University of Missouri President Elmer Ellis (second from right) is also seated with the Trumans, and Basil O'Conner is seated behind Margaret Truman, partly obscured. Edwin Pauley can also be seen (third from the right in the background). All others are unidentified.
