Description
Francis P. Matthews, Secretary of the U.S. Navy, is standing on the far right and is being honored at a reception held during the Portrex Operation. Those in view are on the terrace of the Officers Club at Guantanamo Base, Cuba. Portrex was a joint armed forces operation in the Caribbean area. Standing second to the left of Secretary Matthews is General Mark Clark.
