Bush expressed desire for a formal peace in Korea at an APEC Summit in Australia, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation journalist Carol Off interviewed Dr. Paul Edwards about the status of the cease fire in Korea for the program "As it Happens." Edwards is the director of the Center for the Study of the Korean War.
