World War, 1939-1945

An American map titled "'Hell on Wheels': War Against the Axis, 1942-1943-1944-1945." These three maps show the route of the Second Armored Division from the date it was activated at Fort Benning, Georgia to the end of World War II. The largest map shows the division's route and identifies the location of important division, Allied, and German activity. The two smaller maps follow the route of the division across the Atlantic Ocean, to Northern Africa, to Sicily, and through Europe.
