-Meanwhile Gen. Eisenhower boards the flagship of British Admiral [Andrew] Cunningham --
-- to watch the surrender of the powerful Italian Fleet!
-108 Italian fighting ships reach Allied ports despite German vigilance!
-On land, Gen. Clark moves to the front lines!
-American casualties are severe!
-Salerno is ours! Then Naples! [approximately September 19, 1943]
-United Nations’ strategy strikes its heaviest blow that pierces Italy and crushes Fascism!
