Describes daily life of retired President Truman. Was with Mrs. Truman 9 years. Accompanied her to Washington for visits with Margaret’s family. 5 min. Robert Butler – Kansas City Star Editor. Describes encounter with Mr. Truman when he was sent to Research Hospital to obtain a story about Mr. Truman’s confinement there. 4 min. Betty Wills Gordon – attended Bryant Elementary School with Margaret Truman until Margaret moved to Washington with Senator Truman. Mrs. Gordon’s father, Ray Wills, owned the service station at Maple and Union where Mr. Truman had cars serviced. Walt Bodine – K. C. radio/TV personality. Recounts his stories over many years of covering the Truman’s both during their time in Washington and after retirement and return. VHS
