Description

General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander (center), listens to interpreter Alois J. Liethen of Appleton, WI, (left center, with mustache) describe the use of the gallows at Ohrdruf concentration camp. Ignaz Feldmann, a survivor of multiple camps, stands front left. Jules Grad, correspondent for the "Stars and Stripes" newspaper (behind, center) takes notes. General Eisenhower was on a tour of liberated areas south of Gotha, Germany.
