This silent home movie shows various scenes of Daniel family activities, c. 1969. It shows family members William Wallace Daniel, Thomas Washington Daniel, Harrison Gates Daniel, Clifton Truman Daniel, Clifton Daniel, and Margaret Truman Daniel: at Point 'O Woods, New York, on a boat; visiting "Alice's House;" at the beach where lifeguards rescue a boy; wearing curly blond wigs; taking swimming lessons; swimming in the ocean. At the Daniel apartment, playing with toys; celebrating William's birthday. A visit to Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Duquesne Works (US Steel) in Pennsylvania. Quick glimpse of shoveling snow at the Truman Home in Independence, Missouri. Back at the beach, they swim, gather shells, ride bikes, play tennis, show off a pet white bunny, a seaplane arrives and departs. Back at the Daniel apartment, celebrating Christmas: toys galore, a tree, family dinner. Plane ride, presumably to Independence, Missouri, to visit grandparents Bess Truman and Harry S. Truman--a brief shot of their arrival in the backyard. Back at the Daniel apartment, Harrison gets a bike for his birthday. Visit to Orlando, Florida and Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
At two points, Clifton Truman Daniel and his friend Paul Lowerre pose as they ready themselves with Frankenstein and Wolf Man makeup; similarly they don fedoras and re-enact gangster scenes on the sidewalks of New York. See MP2014-20 for the resulting movie.
